With roots in African-American gospel music and rhythm and blues from the 1950s and and 1960 onwards Soul music has become one of the most popular genres on dance-floors everywhere.

Soul Street have been filling North East dance-floors consistently for over 20 years playing hit after hit from a wide repertoire of non-stop soul and party classics - we're talking about songs that will make you want to sing and dance from the first note played right through until the very last. 

these are five regional musicians who despite not taking themselves too seriously, know how to really cut the mustard. Ross, Martin, Graeme, Jon and Marty are heavily influenced by The Commitments, and the backbone of their sets are the explosive sounds of Wilson Pickett, James Brown, Otis Redding, Jackie Wilson and Gloria Jones. From Motown to Northern Soul, from clubs to festivals, Soul Street are an accomplished and polished outfit.
