2025 Annual Draw Prize List Announced.

As many of you will know this year we launched an Annual Prize Draw where the prizes, which would comprise of cash amounts and high street vouchers, would depend upon the amount raised throughout the year.

We'd like to thank all of you who bought tickets for the draw, whether you bought many, or as so many people did, just one or two. Whatever the case your tickets are now in the barrel so you have your chance to win. Remember your chances of winning are greater the more tickets you have bought.

In compliance with Durham County Council's "Small Lotteries Licensing" conditions 20% of the amount collected went toward helping with the running costs of the Institute, which at this time of the year when we have the extra gas and electricity costs to keep your Institute open for you and comfortably warm, is an invaluable help.

Once that was factored in we had an accumulated remaining Prize Pot of £1,250.

To strike the right balance between awarding a good number of prizes to be won, to benefit more people, but also offering some attractive sums to win, the decision was made at the Management Committee Meeting on 8th December 2025 to distribute the prizes as follows.

• Grand First Prize: £300 cash
• Second Prize: £200 cash
• Third Prize: £100 cash
• 4th Prize: £50 meat voucher
• 5th Prize: £50 voucher
• 6th Prize: £50 voucher
• 7th Prize: £50 voucher
• 8th Prize: £50 voucher
• 9th Prize: £50 cash
• 10th Prize: £50 cash
• 11th Prize: £40 cash
• 12th Prize: £30 cash
• 13th Prize: £30 cash
• 14th Prize: £30 cash

Remember, the draw will take place on Saturday 13th December (and we hope that's not an unlucky day for you all) at 8:00pm in the bar.

To make the night more special we've put free entertainment on for the night, so we'll be treated to the smooth tones of singer Paul Ashe, who will be drawing the tickets as our neutral party.
